It is understood that Vimukthi Kumaranatunga, son of Mrs. Chandrika Bandaranaika the former President would be called forward to the main political arena tomorrow across an occasion of main political stream launched through a celebration.  Though
Madam Chandrika had hopes of bringing in her son to the political arena for some time, it is reported that it has been seen that this is the most suitable instance, political advisors have pointed out. 

Former President who made allegations on a big scale against Mahinda Rajapaksa and the former government across Sirasa Channel is now making arrangements of diverting the public attention towards her son an incident which has now cropped up so that he would be made a winner at the next election. Vimukthi Kumaranatunge is expected to attend the tribute of a rally organised to be held in Gampaha District on 8th Sunday, it is learned.

This rally has been organised with the purpose of making a change in the last Presidential Election meant to bestow a tribute to the public of Gampaha District and Atthanagalla and has been organised by the former President herself. President Maithreepala Sirisena too is expected to participate on this occasion.

Initially, the Bandaranaika Statue would be offered flowers before the rally will be held at the Nittambuwa Playground and subsequently the invitees would be escorted to the playground in a cultural procession. It is understood that Vimukthi Cumaranathunga is to participate in these activities.
