Public protest asking for the 100 rupees

that Gammanpillai took!

A protest has been launched in Borella this evening asking for the 100 rupees once again which happened to have been collected by

Provincial Council member of Western Province, Mr. Udaya Gammanpillai.

He carried out a different kind of propaganda at the last Western Provincial Council elections asking for a donation of Rs. 100 for the sake of a 'yahapalana' administration. He indeed received a favourable response across this campaign and even became the second recipient of the biggest number of Preferential votes.

However,the protestors say that he who promised to dedicate himself to such administration had later broken his promise and had later broken away from the Alliance after saying that he was moving according to the principles of JHU; but once again came back to the Alliance on the sly.

As such, this public protest has been launched this evening asking for the sum of Rs. 100 which was charged from the masses by him who has made this breach of promise.
