Minister of Media Gayantha Karunatillaka took over his duties this morning at his Ministry and it was a special feature to note that former Minister of Media Keheliya Rambukwella too was present on that occasion. He was standing behind the present Minister and at the moment he accepted his position of the Ministry, the former Minister

came up to him and shook his hand. At that moment Minister Rauf Hakeem too was present there and he happened to turn around and after seeing the former Minister, had put on a smile and waved his hand and subsequently taken leave.

Maduluwawe Sobhitha Thero who was present there at this function conducted a discourse and made the following remark at the place where the former Minister stood: "Like the former government, let not the State media be made into a laundry".

Former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella had on a previous occasion said that he would extend his support to the activities of the present President.

It has become a fashion now to see former Ministers attending functions where the present Ministers take over their duties. When Minister Thalatha Athukorala took up her duties yesterday at the Foreign Employment, eyes of the audience were specially focused on its former Minister Dilan Perera who was found standing behind with a smile on his face.
