"We haven't done wrong!" -- Namal says
Member of Parliament, Namal Rajapaksha has complained to police that the former President's son has received threatening calls between 11 and 12 on Monday night from a single number, the caller saying that he would be murdered. According to the complaint made by Namal to Tangalla Police last evening, it wa
s said that the person who addressed him had asked Namal to give up politics and if he does not ... he would be murdered. Namal had approached the police to explain about this incident about that threat.
Police Media Spokesman said that investigations are being conducted in this connection.
In the meantime, Namal had responded over the incident of the JVP having forwarded the names of several individuals including Namal Rajapaksha yesterday to the Bribery and Corruption Investigations. He had said that according to their conscience they have not done anything wrong .... that he is prepared to face any inquiry and that what is being attempted here is the first move to destroy him and members of his family.
"I and members my family have according to our conscience not done anything wrong. Things like this will be galore in future. The foremost reason is that I am the son of the President who brought peace to this country. In the future our names may be tarnished more and more. In the same way even the lives of members of our family will be at stake. But there's nothing to be surprised about it", he had said.
