Wayamba PC member's 'pin kete'

Parliament member of Wayamba PC who made a jump .... gifted with a 'pin kete' filled with coins!!

The masses have been disappointed over the present political situation because of those who kept changing their Parties for financial gain for sometime. These days that unpleasant incident takes place on a somewhat big scale.

Whatever sheer- shark are .... even shrimps make use of this opportunity and try to make hay.

H.M. Ratnayaka the retired Army officer who secured a seat for the first time from the Democratic Front for the Wayamba Provincial Council was heard of trecking towards Temple Trees recently and therefore was expelled from the Party.

Yesterday he made a special statement at the Provincial Council meeting and then joined the government. The reasons he gave were that he looked down upon the Common Opposition trying to grab power.

When he got up from the Opposition and was escorted by the government Party, the Opposition did a wonderful thing. They were bringing a 'pin kete' made of cardboard to the place and got it filled by each member of the Opposition with Rs. 1, 2 and 5 coins and then placed the till in front of where he sat. Having said,"You made a jump for money,didn't you .... here's a contribution from us also!" and left the till near him, bringing a laugh into the faces of of the members.
