Sri Lankan passenger arrested after alleged rape attempt during flight!

Alleged attempt of sexual abuse of British lady by Sri Lankan .... inside plane!

Many accounts of Sri Lankans trying to molest or harass British white-skinned women have been published across the media from recent times.

Incidents reported at Tangalle Hotel and a night club in Bambalapitiya recently have brought only disrepute to Sri Lanka. It was reported yesterday of a Sri Lankan individual who had attempted to sexually abuse a British lady who was on a flight from London to Sri Lankan and had been taken into custody at Katunayaka Airport.

Police said that a flight belonging to Sri Lankan Airlines was flying to Sri Lanka from London last afternoon (18) and the said incident had taken place within that flight.

Police further said that it was a Sri Lankan person of about 41 years who had tried to sexually abuse the 27 year old British lady and he had been born in this country; but presently resident in Britain.

Further investigations are underway.
