Tele-actress Menaka Peiris is getting ready for marriage soon. The bridegroom who is to wed her is an Assistant Professor living in Norway. Menaka who is ready to migrate to Norway and live there has revealed news about her partner to weekend newspapers.

"He's Amer ... he's in Norway and is an Assistant Professor of a university there. At the same time he's a Senior Advisor to an oil company. It's only 9 months since we came to know each other. The date for marriage was finalised just 1 month after that. We came to know each other through a proposal. The proposal was brought on 21st February.

We spoke over Skype for a number of days.... but we didn't switch on the video as such. Only after 4 days that the video was switched on that we saw each other. We didn't want to delay the wedding. Even by March 21st we had booked the hotel also. He was introduced to me by my mother. I was looking for someone who was free from smoking and liquor. He's someone like that. When he spoke to me initially he didn't know that I was an actress .... because he did not stay much time in Sri Lanka. But when he came to know that I was an actress, he asked me to leave this Field and come to live in Norway. I like that decision. I'll bid goodbye to acting!"
