Possible to go to Jaffna with Rs. 350
Jaffna Railway Station erected newly and the Yal Devi once more in operation upto Jaffna was finalised and opened by the Hon. President after a ceremony. This train journey which came to a final halt during the civil war period in Sri Lanka once more resuming its
operations becomes a special occasion to facilitate travelling of the Tamil community and to strengthen connections among communities in Sri Lanka.
It is understood that tickets issued for this train journey from Colombo --Jaffna is Rs. 320 third class. Rs. 800 for second class and Rs. 920 for first class while AC compartments are priced at Rs. 1500.
