'Vas-kavi' Lady Officer at External Affairs Ministry

Inquiry over Lady Officer of External Affairs ....
                           who wanted 'Vas-kavi' recited against President

Police investigations have commenced over an incident in relation to a high official at the Ministry of External Affairs of the said Ministry for having tried to recite 'vas-kavi'.

This officer who had gone to get 'vas-kavi' recited against the Hon. President, Supervisory Parliamentarian Sajin Vaas, Secretary to the Ministry Kshenuka Seneviratna and some other officers for them to be
destroyed, has approached a monk who is famous as an adept to carry out 'vas-kavi'. However the monk has refused to oblige and had even later taken steps to make a complaint about it.

The Weekend Rivira newspaper had revealed that it is a high officer of the External Affairs Ministry known as Priyadarshani Kalyanarathna who has carried out this conspiracy. Though she had been there at the Ministry of External Ministry, she had been obstructed in joining the Diplomatic service and had been subjected to various interferences after which she had resorted to trying out 'vas-kavi'.

This officer who had initially gone to Rambukwelle Sanghananda Thero who is famous as 'Rambukwelle Wedahamuduruwo' residing in Meetotamulla area for treatment for a phlegm ailment had later accompanied a member of parliament in Kalutara area, a well-known dress-designer and also a Cook of the Speaker and had discussed about various charming activities. In this manner she had gone and won the trust of the said monk; thus putting forward the proposal of reciting 'vas-kavi', placing the monk into inconvenience.

In this connection, Rambukwelle Sanghananda Thero who revealed the information to the Special Investigations Unit of Police Headquarters had been interrogated for a period of about one and a half hours day-before-yesterday. Rambukwelle Sanghananda Thero to whom was assigned the task of reciting 'vas-kavi' has revealed all information to the police by now, it is understood.
