News of symbols of Buddhism being subjected to blasphemy is to be heard often. The tattoo of the Lord Buddha to be seen on the leg of a foreign woman who arrived Sri Lanka at Katunayaka Airport yesterday was
such a case. She had worn the sandals in a manner that the tattoo was partially covered and it was surprising to see her walking in such a way that it was nevertheless exposed.

A reader of Gossip Lanka who had seen this had sent a photo to us.

When the authorities were notified about this traveller, she had already left the airport.
