Unusual Children's Day in Kandy!

17 year old schoolgirl inside van .... with Aiyya!  .... on World Children's Day!

An incident was reported yesterday which happened to be World Children's Day where a 17 year old girl of a leading girls' school in Kandy and a youth were nabbed by the police when this couple was engaged in having conjugal relationships inside a van close to the Rathu Bokkuwa of Kandy Wewa Rawuma.

The people in the area were faintly able to see that something like a molestation was taking place within the said parked van; but it had been difficult to discern the activity going on there as the glass windows of the van were tinted. It was after that, that someone in the area had notified the police that two individuals inside a van were behaving in an immodest manner.

When the police arrived at the scene and surrounded the van and investigated what was going on inside, it is learned that a schoolgirl and the driver of the van were found naked inside and were engaging in indecent behaviour; adopting the rear seat of the van as their bed!

On this arrival of the police, the couple were dumbfounded as to why they jumped on the two of them so unexpectedly and had started searching for their clothes in the rush looking around all the while to cover up their nude bodies when a woman police constable had then come and helped the girl to cover herself up. Later the couple had been taken into custody and interrogated.

On inquiries conducted by police, it was revealed that the van concerned was engaged in school service between Galagedera and Kandy. This 17 year old student too had been one of those travelling in his van. The 26 year old driver of the vehicle was a married man with one child. While the schoolgirl had been carrying on an illicit alliance with this driver, he had proposed her to join in some fun on World Children's Day.

The schoolgirl concerned had not attended school on this particular day and had told a lie to her home-people that she was to attend an extra class and had thus left home while the driver had awaited her by the wayside until her arrival, having parked the van at a lonely spot, after which they had begun to engage in this clandestine activity.

The driver of this van was arrested by officers of Kandy Headquarters Child and Women's Unit while parents of the schoolgirl were informed and she had been subsequently admitted to hospital.
