While arrangements are underway hastily for the wedding of popular actress Pooja Umashankar towards the end of this year, the identity and secret of her fiance as to who he is, has now been disclosed.
He is a well-known model and fashion photographer by the name of Deepak Shanmuganadan. The alliance between Deepak, a Sri Lankan Tamil youth and Pooja had not been a secret to those involved in the industry while on fashion shows and occasions such as beauty queen contests Pooja has accompanied him on many an occasion in public. However, the rumour that spread around during the past was that there was an affair between Pooja and popular actor Roshan Ranawana.

While both parties had denied this rumour, what Pooja said during that time was that she was on the look-out for a partner and that her mother was so concerned about it.

It was during this time that the romance between Deepak and Pooja had blossomed. Deepak who is a well-known model takes part in the capacity of a Judge too in some fashion contests and is also connected to Fashion Photography.

The marriage engagement celebrations between Pooja and Deepak is scheduled to take place next November in Colombo.
