Bhathiya & Santhush donating 30,000 liters of water in Polonnaruwa

How request of Bhathiya-Santhush made, when bathing in ice-buckets .... was realised  .... to drought-stricken masses
The ice-bucket challenge which invaded well-known public figures in this country and which spread like a wave for the purpose of providing aid to Neurological patients has resulted in some individuals making use of the opportunity. Some others obtained benefits by
rejecting it. Some people reminded that at a time when a section of the public in Sri Lanka are suffering because of the drought, it is debatable about participating in this ice-bucket challenge. Two individuals among them were Bhathiya and Santhush. The message they delivered on the occasion of the attention they received for bathing with ice water, they said, that it would even be better if assistance is given to those pressurized by the drought.

There were many organisations who joined hands with them to fulfill that request.

In the task of transporting drinking water to remote areas, institutions such as Sethma Seth Lanka, Sri Lanka Army, Cargills Ceylon, Sogo Water, Sky Films and R. Sadesh Kumar, Chief Executive of Page too had contributed in this respect including Bhathiya-Santhush together with their fans and brothers and sisters of the artiste-field, on this difficult journey.

This group of people took steps to deliver 30,000 liters of water to several hamlets in Medirigiriya in Polonnaruwa, Pansalgodella, Palliyagodella, Aluthwewa, Wadiyawewa, Kaburana, Wediyawewa and Akbarapura where there were people with not a drop of water to drink.

Bhathiya-Santhush have fulfilled the attention given to the ice-bucket challenge by directing it towards a beneficial message.
