Suspicion that rebels' target .... was Putin assassination
A suspicion has now arisen that the MH 17 passenger plane which was downed yesterday in Ukraine from a missile attack was a purpose which misfired and the objective was to assassinate Russian leader Vladimir Putin by the rebels. The Russian leader was to travel on the same air route after a short while.
What 'Russia Today' newspaper said was that just 37 minutes later Putin was on his way to Russia from Brazil on the same air-route on which the ill-fated Malaysian flight was travelling and that the flight resembled the Malaysian jet in colour and shape and therefore the rebels had mistaken the aircraft, aiming a missile at at the passenger plane.
When the tragedy took place, the time was 3.44 p.m. Moscow time while Putin's flight was at 4.21 in the evening, Moscow time when it passed the point where the disaster took place.
This mishap came to be known during the time Russian leader Putin had attended Brik Conference held in Brazil and was returning to Russia.
Whatever it is, certain media sources in Russia itself reject 'Russia Today' newspaper reports and so far the Russian government has not confirmed those reports.
In the meantime, what the India media reported was that the new Indian Premier Narendra Modi too has passed through this same point in space; but by that time the accident had already occured over an hour previously.
