A fire had broken out in the 'No Limit' dress store in Panadura this morning at about 3.15 , and as a result 5 fire brigade vehicles had to be strenuously engaged in extinguishing the fire for a period of over 2 hours. the fire extinguishing service mentioned that the fire spread all over the building and that the extinguishers brought for the purpose was not sufficient.
Those in the neighbourhood were able to see that by 5.30 in the morning the whole building was reduced to ashes.
The police say that on the previous day there had been a party at 'No Limit' and that a repair had been carried out in the electricity supply and that it is most likely that this would have happened as a result of an electrical leakage.
Whatever it is, the Police Special Task Force had been deployed for the safety of Panadura residents because it could be interpreted as a conflict among communities.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Mr. Anura Senanayaka had visited the spot and conducted investigations while an Analyst too had been summoned.
