Dinakshi falls down at Colombo University

Dinakshi falls down when sitting down
 Rattan cut  off in chair .... at Colombo campus festival
An incident is reported where tele-actress Dinakshi Priyasad was present to judge a competition held at the University of Colombo resulted with Dinakshi falling down from her chair where she was seated, with the rattan of the chair giving way. This was a result of subversive action of university students who had come to know that she was present there on that occasion.

The said incident is as follows:
   Sometime back Dinakshi Priyasad, Umayangana Wickremasingha and Lasantha Ruhunage were those chosen as judges of a competition held at the new art gallery of the University of Colombo and seating accomodation reserved for them was at a separate location with 3 seats below the stage.

The three of them had to go on to the stage to give away the awards and to garland the winners after selection was done at the competition and in the meantime, in the partially dark environment some subversive characters had on purpose got hold of the chair meant for Dinakshi and had placed a similar chair with rattan cut by a scissor and had gone away.

Without knowing anything about this, Dinakshi who attended to her duties onstage had come back to her seat and just when sitting down, she had instantly sunk down in her chair to the ground making the audience burst into laughter. Later the crowd had got together and had helped her get her on her feet.

Dinakshi who joined in a TV programme recently recalled this incident and said, "For my good luck I was wearing a lack and a blouse. Even without being a student f that university it looks like I also was ragged. But of course I can't expect a good conscience from everyone who studies in universities. Whatever it is, I am happy that such things have not happened in my life ......".
