It is reported from Lahore,Pakistan that police suddenly barged into the wedding ceremony of cricket player Umar Akmal which was held last Tuesday and as a result the whole atmosphere had taken on a complex situation.

What the police say is that they had to take action in this manner because the victims have carried


on several activities contrary to Punjab rules and regulations.

Though according to rule, a wedding ceremony is not permitted to go on after 10 in the night, this ceremony had continued even after that time.In the same way, according to Punjab rule, food should be served on one large dish to guests arriving at a wedding whereas on this occasion a number of dishes have been used. There is also the allegation that Umar Akmal and his brothers had behaved in a riotous manner and resorted to anti-disciplinary behaviour with the authorities as well as media personnel during the wedding ceremony.

23 year old Umar Akmal married former popular player Abdul Qadir's daughter. The media in fact recently published news that they were to be married ... and that too in bold letters.

Pakistan media reports that the police who entered this wedding ceremony which was held in an inconspicuous farmhouse in the town of Lahore had inquired about violation of rules and regulations and taken 4 persons into custody. Among them are 2 brothers of Umar Akmal who had tried to be aggressive to the police. Pakistan police say that the two of them have asked for pardon in relation to the incident.
