Hypocritical people tell Triangular Channels that ...
I became captain by chance
Lasith Malinga, captain of the victorious T20 cricket team participated in an Independent Rupavahini programme recently where he was critical about
those who spread wrong ideas and information about a Triangular Channel.
A question put forward to him and apart of the answer given by him appears below:
*The last three matches were credited to Malinga's name. What do you say about the talk that it was Mahela, Sanga and the crowd who did the work?
Some people who are critical and cannot bear up things come to Triangle Channels and may say something. I am really accustomed to such things. But what I think is .... I have played under Mahela aiyya, Kumar aiyya and Marvan. It was those things that I received from them for 10 or 12 years which should come in handy when one becomes a captain. It is ideas and skills that are extracted from the senior player down to the youngest player that are made use of during play. I believe that is true captainship. I think that I held captainship in the last 3 matches and did something worthwhile... because I was able to utilize resources of the team and do justice to Sri Lanka cricket. I think that is what is called captainship.
