Former captain Mahela Jayawardena queries as to why some elements on purpose try to make things difficult for them,


referring to the Sri Lankan media saying that he has been terribly hurt and shocked, sending a personal message to Twitter.

He questions as to why certain parties take pains to make his life difficult during his participation at the T20 World Cup tournament in BanglaDesh, releasing a message to Twitter.

While Mahela ayawardena had announced on Monday (Mar 17) that he would be retiring after the T20, Kumar Sangakkara had announced his retirement on Saturday (Mar 15). 

Chairman of the selection committee, Sanath Jayasuriya has expressed his opinion about the unexpected announcement of the two former captains, saying that it was an anti-social act.

A report based on Deputy Minister's statement was published in an English newspaper. It is understood that Mahela Jayawardena through his Twitter message has aired his protest against that particular report.
