Johnston speaks about Dulanjalee's case

After being exposed that the cash notes that Dulanjalee Jayakody, daughter of former President Premadasa had given to a private bank in Colombo were fake ones, it was revealed on investigations that information was found about a businessman living in Pita Kotte that they were given to her by cheating her. Police spokesman said that this cheating was done by the said businessman.


In the meantime, Minister Johnston Fernando addressing an election rally yesterday (Mar 26) said that Sajith Premadasa had got caught printing counterfeit notes and that he is involved in distributing them in Tissamaharama.He also said that Sajith who brands the President as a rogue has now had to face the truth.

His address is as follows: When the Manager of the bank said that they were fake notes ... this person runs away ... Says .... robbing ... when the airport was being built ... said that money was being taken on the sly ... when a road is being widened ... and when a part of the road is acquired ... Sajith Premadasa says that the land of that 'nenda' was acquired ... this mama's land was acquired. See ... in the end ... Mr. Sajith Premadasa who spoke ill of our President who never cheated anybody and someone who is so fair ... how he's being now punished by god! Mr. Sajith Premadasa who used to tell 'thieves' to others and who engaged in producing counterfeit money and changed them ... proper punishment has been given to him ... by god. These people of Tissamaharama Hambantota ... are taken for a ride by issuing rice .. 5,000 rupee notes ...!"
