The dead body of a Sri Lankan youth who was murdered was found in a condominium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last Tuesday (Feb 11).

The deceased had been living in a luxury flat known as 'Thampan Abadi Inha' with 3 friends all of whom had contributed in leasing out the said premises. He was found half naked and close to his body on the bed were found an artificial set of sex games, a mobile phone, some medicine, lubricant etcetera and the Malaysian police said that he cold be suspected as someone who had been engaged in homosexual activities.
The murder had taken place 7 days prior to the body being discovered and at the time the body was found, it is understood that a foul odour had been emanating from the room.

A friend of the deceased who had been living with him in the room had informed the security unit that as he had no key to open the door he had resorted to break open it. On entry he had found his Sri Lanka friend's half-naked dead body on the bed. The dead person who was 34 years of age had lived in the room with another Sri Lankan, a German aged 32 years and a Polish national of 33 years. After this incident,the disappearance of the Polish national has aroused suspicion of the police. Though it is not possible to arrive at a specific conclusion in relation to the death until a post-mortem is conducted, no instrument or tool which could be assumed as having been used in the murder has so far been detected, foreign sources say. A.C.P Kahiri, a friend of the dead man giving evidence said that the deceased Sri Lankan and another Polish national together with another Sri Lankan had lived together in one house.

It was only the Polish national who had been living in the room with this deceased Sri Lankan who was a graduate in a college of higher studies in Malaysia, during the last few days. The friend also stated that other than the said person, the rest of the others who were there had by that time left the country.

It is learnt that two other outsiders aged 32 and 33 years have been taken into custody on suspicion regarding the murder.

In the meantime, Kuala Lumpur police say that a CCTV footage containing important evidence has been received in connection with this incident and that investigations are proceeding in that respect.
