Katunayaka Expressway first accident (video)

The very first accident that took place on the Colombo - Katunayaka Expressway was recorded yesterday morning around 11.50 and this happened when a vehicle which came speeding from behind a row of vehicles that had stopped as a result of congested traffic had rammed on to a vehicle in front of it.

When this accident took place, there had been a heavy downpour and a vehicle had been travelling from the direction of Negombo towards Peliyagoda had met with the accident at the 19.6 kilometre post.

No damages were reported from the accident and the vehicle concerned has been removed to the Seeduwa police station, police said.
