NO BEARD ... SO DHARMAPALA CHARACTER GIVEN TO PALITHA

    It was reported in the recent past that popular actor Palitha was chosen for the cinema creation of Anagarika Dharmapala's character. However, it is reported that it is was popular artiste Shriyantha Mendis who had been actually chosen to play the role of the celebrated personality of Anagarika Dharmapala.

  Film director Sanath Abhayasekera says that he decided to hand over the role to Palitha Silva because Shriyantha Mendis had refused to cut off his beard. Director of the film, Sanath Abhayasekera also said that Shriyantha Mendis had told him that his beard is essential for the rest of the parts to be filmed in the teledrama in which he plays a role.
