   This is Palitha Silva with a group of monks .... dressed in a yellow robe. Palitha who was a layman so far ..... what is he upto? There is news that he is to become an Anagarika. That is by portraying the character of Anagarika Dharmapala in a film. The Muhurath ceremony of this research film 'Shrimath Anagarika Dharmapala Shrimathano' directed by Sanath Abeysekera was held recently at the Sabhudhathwa Jayanthi Mandiraya auditorium under the blessings of the maha sangha and with the participation of several artistes who contributed towards the creation of the film.

   The director and also the director of the script of this film is Sanath Abeysekera. It was said that there are over 500 actors-actresses including Palitha Silva who plays the role of Anagarika and also Dhananjaya Siriwardena, Sandun Wijesiri and Ruwangi Ratnayaka in the film.
