Spain's Express trying a bend @ 180 kmph ...topples
80 dead in Spain's Highway train
80 people have so far died in the Spain Highway train accident, travelling at a speed of 180 kmph when trying to take a bend as a result of derailment. Foreign news reports say that this is the worst train accident which has occurred after 4 decades.
The train which travelled from the town of Madrid to Ferol met with this accident at Satiago de Compostela. While there had been 238 passengers in the train, railway authorities say that the accident took place because of the negligence of the driver.
It has been found that the train should have travelled at a speed of 80 kmph at the bend in which case the accident would have been averted while instead the driver had taken the bend at a speed of 180 kmph.
Photos recorded on security cameras at the moment of the accident have now been released to the media.
