ACTRESS FINED OVER BREEDING PLACE

Fine on actress for aiding spread of dengue

     Nugegoda Magistrate and Addl.Judge Ajith M.Masingha imposed a fine of Rs.1,500 yesterday on a cinema and teledrama actress including 16 others for having maintained an environment conducive to breeding mosquitoes.

 Cinema actress Janaki Kurukulasooriya living down Samagi Mawatha of Kalubowila including 16 others were subjected to this fine.

    All those fined had been from the Kalubowila area of Dehiwala which was the foremost from among towns that reported dengue patients in the past and this fine was imposed for having neglected instructions issued in respect of the above.

   Police constable Mr.Geekiyanage (41650) of Kohuwala police filed the complaint in this respect.
