After Bowatte Indarathana Thero who set himself on fire protesting against cattle slaughter passed away last night at the National Hospital, his body had been taken to Jayaratne Funeral Parlour at Borella where a tense situation cropped up there this morning about the body being taken elsewhere. The reason for this situation is that a group of people had taken an effort to prevent the thero's body being taken to Pelmadulla in Ratnapura at the request of the Chief Incumbent of the vihara where the deceased monk was staying.
