DUMINDA GHAJINI AND PHOTOSHOP
Although Duminda Silva is now back in Sri Lanka. Those who had only seen Duminda in person had been the Magistrate, Doctors and the nursing staff. The photographs that were shown by the Lawyers to the media are those that had been taken previously. Some are of the view that this is Photoshop work. While others say it resembles and confirm as it is from the recently shown ‘Ghajini’ film.
What is the relation between the Duminda and ‘Ghajini’ film? In that film Amir Bhan had been struck by a pole on his head. After which he had said “I cannot remember”. Both have acquired the same decease. Both marks on the head are similar. The mark on Duminda’s head is on the right side but the similar mark on Amir Bhan’s head is visible on the left side.
The film ‘Ghajanai’ which was screened in the year 2008 became very famous. Amir Bhan portrayed the character of a young businessman named ‘Sanjay’.(Duminda is also a businessman). In this film a group of young girls gets caught to some ‘thugs’ and had got involved in a huge clash.(Duminda also was involved in a clash at Kolonnawa). In the film ‘Ghajani’ when Sanjay tried to save his girl friend from been attacked he was struck on is head by a pole.
At this incident the girl friend of Sanjay succumbs to her injuries while Sanjay receives critical injuries to his head. After he recovered from his injury a large scar remained on Sanjay’s head, just like that of Duminda’s.
As s a result Sanjay loses his memory. He could remember something only for a short period of only 15 minutes. He cannot remember any of the incidents in his past life span. In the remainder of the film it was shown in the latter part of the film, that how Sanjay made efforts to take revenge from those who killed his girl friend. In this film a girl named ‘Chitra’, student in psychology tries to help him out.( for Duminda a lady surgeon Maheshi is helping him).
In the recent past the film Ghajani was shown to full houses in India and Sri Lanka cinema halls. It had also been shown in countries like Singapore and Australia. Shown below are some photographs of Amir Bhan when taken at the shooting of the film:
