DUMINDA SILVA ON A GERM THREAT

Duminda’s security personnel inside his room is suspected to carry germs

The petition that was made by Duminda Silva’s father to allow bail for Duminda was taken up for consideration. Accordingly the Judges had decided to ascertain his condition properly for bail to be granted
The relatives of Duminda in order to show the gravity of Duminda’s condition had brought and shown a plastic head cover to the judges..Duminda Silva is the main suspect of the killing of Bhratha Lakshman Premachandra. The Chief Magistrate Lalith Jayasuriya has given time till  the May 15th for him to consider the appeal made my his father for bail.
The Lawyers who appeared on behalf of Duminda Siva had also told the Magistrate that there are four prison guards are stationed inside Duminda’s room for security and had made a request for them to be given permission to remain outside the room. They had made this request as germs from those security personnel may enter Duminda’s wounds which would become harmful.
The Magistrate had added that he is not a person attached to the medical profession and in the evenf the doctors who are attending on him made such a request saying it could be a barrier he might consider the request.
Taking the petition into consideration the Magistrate had ordered the CID officers and the Attorney General to appear before him on the 15th of next month by sending summons,
