To enhance the Islamic and Buddhist Unity and harmony an Almsgiving to Buddhist monks by Islamic people:
The other day at the Maligawatta Islamic Institution a meeting of Buddhist monks and the Islamists had a cordial get together and a formal Almsgiving was offered to the Buddhist monks by the Islamists within that organisation.
In addition to the Almsgiving a ‘Atapikira’ poojawa also took place. Among the Muslim politicians Ministers Rauff Hakeem, Alavi Maulana, M.H.M Azver and a number of Muslim politicians and VIP’s were present.The alms were offered to Ven,Bellanwila Wimalatana thera, Ven.Uduwe Dhammaloka Thera and a number of other monks and it was patronised by a number of politicians, VIP’s and many Buddhist layman.
