Sri Lanka’s loss in the first Test has a fair amount of suspicion
By taking 9 wickets the Australian paceman had tampered the ball (VIDEO)
After yesterday’s Sri Lankan defeat in the first Test against Australia played at Hobart, Peter Siddle has been accused for tampering with the ball. It is very surprising that the cricket officials have turned a blind eye towards this serious issue of tampering the ball by Peter Siddle. This had been a main reason for the loss Sri Lanka suffered.
In this Test played at Hobart Peter Siddle had captured 4 wickets in the 1st Innings and 5 wickets in the 2nd innings and was named as ‘The Man of The match’. Before delivering the ball on his way to his bowling mark he had tampered with the ball which had been highlighted in Television videos. This matter had been a subject of discussion by the panel of commentators also.
Sri Lanka skipper Mahela Jayawardena had confessed that there was some suspicion about this in his mind about Siddle’s ball tampering, but yet he did not challenge it as he had no proper evidence.
His accusation had been totally denied by Peter Siddle who had told that there were 32 television cameras which covered the match and if he is guilty, the charges against him could be proved easily.
Shown below is a video connected with the Peter Siddle’s ball tampering allegation.
