The rumors about me falling from the stage are cooked up stories by my opponents

A story of the famous cinema actress Geetha Kumarasinghe jumping off a stage thinking it’s the end of the world was reported from Bentota. This was when she had to watch the annual ‘perahara’ of Galpatha Maha Viharaya. It had been a rumor explained her point of view; Geetha Kumarasinghe called Gossip Lanka to say that such an incident didn’t take place and that it had been false news cooked up by her opponents.
Geetha Kuamarsinghe spoke to Gossip Lanka to express her views on this news and stated that this story has been cooked up by her opponents who didn’t like her organizing a perahara.
This is what she said about it:
“That is a lie. The perahara was organized on the 27th by me, our Pradeshiya Sabha Member and 5 others. There wasn’t a plan for the special guests to come on stage. I came to the road after the occasion because our supporters were there. There were media spokespersons on one stag which was built above another stag meant for the Buddhist monks.. The special guests left by 10 o’clock in the night. The Chief Minister had no reason to come there. More than three guests were not supposed to be brought onto that place. People said that this was the best perahara which was held after 1977. I am asking how they can cook up a story that the stage broke down.
There was a crowd of more than twenty thousand people. All of them know that there weren’t any tremors…. This is a cooked up lie… We first invited Namal Rajapakse and he agreed. Yet he had to go to Kandy. It was raining all over the country side but the rain stopped at 4 p.m before the commencement of the perahara. .After that it didn’t rain until the perahara was over and it was so miraculous. But one thing is true. A monk was seated on a smalle stage built at a lower elevation. The media personnel were on a stage built at a higher elevation. 
There were two stages. One was for the monks and the other was for the audience and media. There wasn’t a stage for the special distinguished guests.
Don’t you see that this is a story made to insult me? There are some people who are against me for taking the priority of organizing the perahara. I spent a lack for it and collected donations as well. Some are angry because of it and that’s why they have done such a thing against me. There are some who make a living by doing such work.
