The aerial view of damages caused by floods in Chilaw
The inclement weather that has continued to prevail in many districts has caused havoc among thousands of people. The floods had resulted in 23 deaths in 15 districts. Most effected is in the Chilaw area .Owing to floods thousands of civilians have been displaced. In most places water has reached the roof levels of the houses.
The ‘SIRASA’ Television crew captured the situation in the Chilaw area while travelling in a helicopter. The aerial views through videos are shown below.
