TRIPLE MURDER AT BULATHSINHALA

Triple murder of a family in Bulathsinhala

A triple murder has been reported from Udahenwatta, Bulathsinhala. It has been a 95 year old man, his 85 year old wife and their 65 year old mentally retarded son.
A 12 year old student who has been looking for some leaves for his fish tank had heard moaning from the house and has reported it to the adults. By the time, villagers have got there it had been very late. The murder had taken place on the previous night.
It is reported that a wedding ceremony has taken place on their neighbor’s and since all the villagers have got together and since it has been noisy, no one knows as to what had happened at this house. M.A Fernando(father), M. Magilin(mother), and H.Dharmasiri(son) who have been residing in Udahenwatta, Halwatura, Bulathsinhala have been murdered. It was said that the son has been mentally retarded. The reason for the murder is not yet known.
Police is suspecting that a gang of robbers would have killed them as they have been recognized by the family members. At the same time, it is suspected that the murder has been done on purpose to take revenge.
Villagers and the Priest in the temple had stated that they have been living peacefully and that they didn’t have any enemies as such.
Police also believe that the robbers have taken advantage of the noise at the neighboring house on the night of Monday the 19th. The violence of the murderers has been visible from the ropes which have been tied around their necks and the cuts and wounds that have been seen in their bodies. The murderers have used the wire from the heater to tie the hands of the 95 year old father.
The whole house has been full of blood and a dense has been fallen on the floor where the old lady has been murdered. The 12 year old student who has been looking for some leaves for his fish tank had heard moaning from the house and has reported it to his parents but by the time they have gone there, it had been very late. Police have taken depositions from the villagers and clever Grero, the Police dog from Horana too has helped the investigations.
Additional Magistrate Nilupuli Lankapura from Mathugama has given an open final decision and the dead bodies have been sent for further investigations to the Nagoda Hospital.
Police have arrested two men one 30 years old, and the other 32 years old who have been living 100m away as the police dog Grego has stopped at their residence. Further investigations are carried out by the police.
