PROTEST AT BANDARAGAMA HOSPITAL

“Do not make attempts to reduce Sinhala ethnic population”

The protest and demonstrations by Buddhist monks prevents 40 LRT operations scheduled at the hospital to be cancelled organised by the Office of the Medical Officer of Health, maternity clinic:
The maternity clinic of the authorities of the Office of the Medical Officer of Health, Bandaragama was stopped with the intervention of Buddhist monks who made strong protests and demonstrations which prevented 40 LRT operations that were scheduled to be conducted at the Bandaragama hospital. The operations were abruptly stopped.
The authorities had arranged to perform LRT operations on 40 selected women at the hospital. After the intervention by Buddhist monks and school children the scheduled operations were all cancelled .Later on the protesting monks has had a discussion with the related Doctors and officials of the MOH office. They came to an amicable solution as this would lead to reduce the Sinhala ethnic population of the country.
The school children were carrying slogans with the wordings “Budu Ammai , do not allow our golden children to be killed”
