BUSINESSMAN’S WIFE INVOLVED IN A DOUBLE MURDER

Because of a ‘Calf’, a businessman’s wife attacks an elderly couple to death:

From Wilpatha area in Chilaw a tragic story is reported. A 34 year old wife of a businessman has had an argument with a neighbour, a 79 year old man. The reason was that her calf had gone to this elderly person’s garden and had damaged the crops they had grown. When the argument became heated the businessman’s wife had gone to the neighbour’s kitchen and had picked up a club-knife and had attacked the elderly man. On hearing a noise the wife of the elderly man a 75 year old woman had come to the scene. The businessman’s wife and attacked her also both and they had dropped dead.
This businessman’s wife had gone to her house and had changed her blood stained clothes and had worn some other clothes and had come to the scene of the incident.  She had even burnt the blood stained clothes. She also had left her gold necklace inside the dead couple’s house in order that when investigation take place the Police would think that some thieves had come to rob and killed them. After coming to the scene she has shouted and wanted the neighbours to see the incident. The elderly man has had life then and this woman had taken him to hospital with the neighbours. On the way the elderly man had with difficulty told that is was this woman who attacked them.
The elderly man had died after a few hours after he was admitted to hospital. The woman had not disclosed to her husband about the incident. When the Police came in search of her, he was shocked. He and his wife who murdered the elderly couple is supposed to own coconut estate and are well known businessmen.
The dead woman has had a deep cut in her neck which was revealed as six inches deep in the post mortem. The Businessman’s wife had been arrested as the suspect. Her gold chain and the club-knife had been recovered from the elderly couple’s house.
The suspect woman is to be produced before courts.
