A/L boy friend’s love ends by breaking the bars of the bed:
Today trial was heard at the Colombo Magistrate Courts about a fascinating love story of a boy aged 17 and a girl aged 15 years having ended a love affair which had begun via ‘SMS’s.
This boy is said to be an A/L student of a popular mixed school in Colombo which is situated near where a lorry was caved in to the ground recently. He is said to have been in love with this girl who is in the O/L class. Their love affair has started initially with an SMS and after the girl’s parents have got to know each other they have tried to stop all the possible ways the couple could meet.
Due to school holidays, the girl had been unable to meet the boy and she had been upset. At this point, the boy had suggested that he comes home to meet her in the night. The girl who had liked the idea had made all the necessary arrangements on the previous day by taking the grill of the window of her room aside. It is also said that she had been nervous and had used the bathroom often. As planned, the boy had crept in to the garden and had met his girlfriend.
At this moment, even though the parents of this girl had heard her going to the bathroom, they have ignored it considering it to be somewhat normal. But, in the mid night, all of a sudden the parents have heard a noise from their daughter’s room. They have run towards it thinking that the daughter is in some sort of danger. Since the door has been locked, the father has tried hard to open the door and when he succeeded in opening the door, he had been surprised by the scene he saw inside the room.
Their daughter who had been in the room had been unable to wake up as she had been nude and the wooden bars of the bed had been broken and they have fallen off. The father had screamed “robber, robber” and the girl in reply had told: “Father, please don’t do anything to him. He is my boyfriend”. He was hiding behind in a corner behind the almyrah.
The parents have been unable to understand anything. They have realized that the boy had sneaked in through the window when they have had seen that the grill has been removed. The boy had been taken to Mulleriyawa Police station accusing him of entering the house without permission and for his misbehavior.
The girl is still an O/L student and the boy is an A/L student.
The boy had been bailed out for a sun of Rs15, 000/- by the Colombo Magistrate courts.
