NIROSHA SPEAKS ABOUT THE DIVORCE

Divorce is something not accepted worldwide:

It is quite normal for Nirosha Viragini to sing or be a Judge at a reality or any other singing competition. If you go to speak with her about social matters it is somewhat special. In the subject of divorce if spoken she could go beyond all that. For the Sundays ‘Ravaya’ paper she has contributed a letter pertaining to divorce. Some of the salient facts are appended below:
“It is not only us but all people in the world do not accept divorce. The Roman Catholic religion also opposes the divorce. No one would dare to tell it is a good thing. We have to act accordingly today, abiding to the English law.
Even people in England do not accept divorce. Whatever the law is family life has to be carried out by the respective individuals. If we question them individually all would say that it is not the proper thing. However they would never say that marriage is good.
When I say like this people would misunderstand me. I do not say it for myself only but for the majority as a whole. In my family there are four members. All have different views on various subjects. Hence even coming to know very closely there is a strong possibility of changing our minds and views very abruptly.
After marriage amidst several differences divorce is the last thing that should be thought about. The reason for that the way I look at it is whether the society would accept it or not. If one has to take the most difficult decision I think it is the decision to be taken about the divorce.
To take such a decision the individual has to possess an enormous amount of mental strength. It is better however to separate from one another and seek a divorce if one does not agree with the opposite person’s ideas and views. If a divorce is not taken, then life is bound to become miserable.
