The news of the demise of Nimal Lakshapathiarachchi shocked not only those in his field but the entire country. When the news was heard all artistes were inquisitive to know about his sudden demise.

On this day the shooting of a certain production took place. At the end of the day after shooting was over the producers wanted to know whether they would like to attend Nimal Aiya’s funeral. Many actors and actresses consented to go for the funeral excepting one novice actress.

 She had already portrayed a major role in the film ‘Jeewithaya Lassanai’ already completed but not released opposite veteran popular actor Ranjan Ramanayake.
After the shooting was over one of the organisers had told

 “we hope to attend Nimal Aiya’s funeral. Are you all coming ? "

Majority gave their consent. One novice actress without thinking abruptly uttered

“who will be benefited by attending funerals”.

Those who listened to the tone of replying were dumbfounded. She is Ruwangi Ratnayake who had already portrayed the lead role opposite the famous actor Ranjan Ramanayake in the film ‘Jeewithaya Lassanai’ yet to be released.
