DENGUE CASE IN ANULA VIDYALAYA

Principal in Anula Vidyalaya is responsible for the death of a student due to dengue

A grade 8 student in Anula Vidyalaya had died of dengue yesterday. The PHI officer in Dehiwala-Mt Lavinia Municipal Council analyzing the reason for her death had found out that the school which she attended to had been a mosquito friendly environment and thus, they have filed a case before the courts against its Principal.
The Municipal Council had tried several times to inform Mrs. Kalyani Gunasekara, yet it was reported that when the school had been checked yesterday it had not been cleaned. As a school with the highest number of students in Colombo district, the PHI officer, Mr Ellawala shows how careless the Principal had acted and thus she deserves to be brought before courts.
The Principal of Princess of Wales, in Moratuwa too had been charged before for allowing the mosquitoes to grow without keeping the environment clean and healthy for the students.
