BROTHEL AT ‘PIER 3’ NIGHT CLUB RAIDED

The brothel house was located within the night club ‘PIER 3’, in front of the lake House along D.R. Wijewardena Mawatha Raided:

The ‘Pier 3’ night club is located in front of the Lake House along D.R Wijewardena Mawatha, had been a night club patronized many high class officials in the Mercantile  and Government sector and also prominent businessman. There had been many old members ho patronize the club purely to have a social drink. Only they knew that there as a ‘brothel’ house also in operation inside the club.

There had been several female stewards who had worked in the club ho had pretended to be just employees. However there had been a practice which had been happening for some time where the senior members were given the opportunity to enter into secret rooms to sleep with these employees who were prostitutes. On a ‘tip off’ the Police had raided the ‘Pier 3’ club and arrested 8 prostitutes, the Manager and nine others. The Police had produced all of them before courts and all have been ordered to be remanded.
