STUDENT ‘MODEL’ AT GAMPAHA THAKSHILA VIDYALAYA

A father attacks the Vice Principal of the school for advising a student who had shaped her eye brows and polishing her nails:

An incident of a father attacking the Vice Principal of Gampaha Thakshila Vidyalaya using a cricket stump for advising his daughter on taking disciplinary actions for shaping her eyebrows and polishing her nails.
After this attack the Vice Principal, Salinda Kumara has been hospitalized and he is under treatments as the bones in his arm have been fractured.
As it is reported, the story is as follows:
This particular student who had come to the school with her nails polished and shaped eye brows had been questioned by the prefects.  The student had answered aggressively stating:
“I am doing because I like it and you better mind your business”
 The prefects had complained about this student regarding her misbehavior to a teacher and then it had been submitted to the Vice Principal.
The Vice Principal who had advised the student asked her to come with her mother on the following day. The Vice Principal who had spoken to the student’s mother had advised her to not allow her child to behave in that manner and he has asked the mother to keep the child at home till her eye brows grow saying that she cannot come to school like that. Sufficient leave for this exercise had been approved. Thereafter the Vice Principal had suspended the student.
The student and her mother,who had accepted the verdict and had gone home. The father of the child who had got baffled after listening to this story had decided to attack the Vice Principal on the same evening.
Subsequently the father who had stopped the Vice Principal’s car on the way had asked who Salinda Kumara is and he had answered with a “yes”, the father had attacked the Vice Principal on his face with a cricket stump.
The Vice Principal has got off the car and he had covered his face to avoid him getting beaten on the face. He has said that he has seen something like a cricket stump and he had covered his face from both his hands. Thus, his hands had been severely injured. At that moment, his two children too had been on the vehicle.
The people who had been around had admitted him to the hospital. It was reported that his hand was broken into two and the bones in his palm had been broken.
It is reported that the suspect has escaped with his family and the police is conducting investigations to locate him.
