CID questions Randiva newspaper about Hirunika’s death threats:

Police gives 24 hours securities to Hirunika

After the facts about the headline published in ‘Randiva’ newspaper stating “A conspiracy to kill Hirunika” was presented before the courts. The judge had made an order to investigate about it and to present a report before the courts.  Therefore the police had made a visit to the ‘Randiva’ editors to make inquiries about it.
It is reported that the officers of the CID had gone to the ‘Randiva’ office and they have made inquiries from the Editor and the sub-editor for a over a period of 2 hours.
There the editors have not mentioned as to how they have got the news and they have told that they cannot reveal the sources relevant to the news. Thus, the officers have left the office after writing down the statements they have made.
In between the police media spokesperson has mentioned that they have decided to give 24hr security to Hirunika Premachandra.
