UNIVERSITY STUDENT’S DEAD BODY FOUND IN WELL

A female university student of Jaffna University found dead in a well:

The body of a female University student had been found dead in a well in Ukkulamkulama area in Vavuniya. The dead girl is 25 year old, who had lost both her parents during the ethnic war.
She had come to her aunt’s place in Ukkulamkulama during the holiday period. Her name is Indra Kaushalya and is a 2nd year student at the Jaffna University. She had been missing since the 16th evening.
Her Aunt had informed her other relatives and as there was no news about her they have informed the Vavuniya Police. When investigations were carried out her body was found inside a well on the 17th instant.
She had been travelling to the University from the Settikulum Welfare Centre. The Police is conducting inquiries. It is not yet certain whether she had committed suicide or whether she was killed and dumped into the well.
Investigations are been carried out by the Vavuniya Police in this regard.
