I LOST MY JOB BECAUSE OF ‘MUD’ STORIES-ANGELA
The popular ex actress Angela Seneviratne had disclosed to the ‘Island” newspapers yesterday that she had lost her job purely because a parcel containing drugs had been sent by someone in her name. Although I am innocent in this case I have been terminated from my job at the Embassy at Saudi Arabia.
This action had been taken by her employer even before her investigations with the officials at the Police Narcotics Bureau are completed. It is unfair for me to be called accused without finding the truth of the case. Why is the society is treating me in this manner?.This she had revealed to the newspapers.

MISS SRI LANKA AS ‘MANAME’ PRINCESS AND JACKSON’S ANTHONY’S SON AS ‘MANAME PRINCE.
It is reported reliably from well informed sources that Jackson Anthony’s next film production is going to be produced based on the ‘National’ story, Chulla Pamuddara of ‘Maname’ fame. It is learnt that he is very busy to produce the film hurriedly. The important role is to be portrayed as the ‘Maname’ Princess by joint winner of Miss Sri Lanka 2012 Miss VINU UDARI SIRIWARDENA. This offer she had accepted to portray which she had disclosed to the week end newspapers. The role of Prince ‘Maname’ is to be portrayed by the son of Jackson Anthony the producer of the film had confirmed as AKILA PAMUDDARA.

JEHAN MUBARAK ALLOWED BAIL FOR A SUM OF Rs 1 MILLION AS SURETY BAIL.
The day before yesterday the former Sri Lankan cricketer Jehan Mubarak driving a ‘defender’ jeep along the Colombo- Chilaw main road had knocked down a Motor cyclist and the pillion rider head on. During the accident one person had been killed and the other wounded.
The mishap had taken place in the Maikkulum area in Chilaw District. The magistrate has allowed him bail on a surety bail amounting to Rs 1 million. The Magistrate had ordered Jehan Mubarak to pay Rs 6 lacks to the family of the deceased and a sum of Rs 4 lacks to the family of the injured in the accident.

DAYAN’S HOUSE CATCHES FIRE
There had been a huge uproar in the Rajagiriya area where the house of Dayan Withana is located. Dayan is the famous singer and popular photographer. He had been away for judging a Avurudu Kumari contest a little faraway for a programme of the National Rupavahini.
It is learnt that it had been raining heavily and lightening had struck his electricity meter, and then had caught fire. One of the neighbours had telephoned him regarding his house that had caught fire.
Dayan Vithana had immediately called the Mayor of Kotte and the Rajagiriya Police seeking desperate help. They had not been able to reach his house as the road was flooded owing to the heavy rains. After the water had receded had managed to bring the fire under control.
Dayan had been worried whether his negatives had got damaged. Fortunately the damage caused had been only negligible Hence had been convinced about the situation to a large extent on his return.
