A political party with a different theme from Hirunika
After the death of Braratha Lakhsman Premachandra her daughter Hirunika highlighted in the media airing her heartfelt feelings. Thereby she became popular news provider to the media. Initially she said she would enter politics. Her mother totally objected to her option. When the media continuously questioned her she totally denied her idea of entering politics.
In reply she said it will not take place just now, but it will take some time. However politics was inherited to her from her slain father. She has behind a countless number of supporters to rally behind her. She has already studied ’Law’ and possess good looks and hence is a very eligible candidate to become a politician to along with her unique personality and ability to address eloquently. The critics have clearly aired views about this ability in her.
In yesterday’s 27th when ‘Lakbimanews’ had inquired about her stand in this regard what she had said was the “theme of her new political party would to be precisely fair and justice’. Very unfortunately this theme does not exist in the manifesto of any political party in Sri Lanka. Hence i do not wish to join with any other political party. This party which I propose to launch will be with those, who were my father’s staunch supporters. The need of the hour I feel is to fill this void. This would be an independent political party. I am preparing for it.”
Hirunika has confessed a number of times that from her young days she had been following and travelling in her father’s footsteps and political path. She had dreamt of such an idea.

ReplyDeleteYou seem to be a very courageous and intelligent lady. We admire you for standing up against the bloody murderers who assassinated your beloved father. Keep on fighting until justice is done! We also have to change the current political mafia and forming another party will further fragment the opposition, strengthening the dictator in power. Let us think of a joint opposition so that we can stop this "Adharmishta Palana Kramaya" and stop drug dealers and murderers from running this country. Let us restore democracy and sanity in our beloved Sri Lanka.
