The first accident reported on the southern express highway today morning a few minutes after 7 A.M.
The first accident on the new Southern Express Highway was reported this morning around 7.10 A.M near the turn off to the Kahatuduwa turn near the 8th mile post.
A blue coloured van travelling at high speed over 100 KMP had banged on to the wall which separates the lanes and overturned after having slipped. The wall had even got damaged. The injured had been rushed to hospital and the vehicle had been cleared from the place very quickly.
According to Police, the vehicle had travelled at a speed of over 100 KMP, had slipped and overturned
