Lanka news paper blocked
The week end Lanka news paper published by the revolutionary JVP had been prevented by going into the hands of the public when the Grandpass Police officers had taken into their possession all the papers that were published to be distributed. The present split amongst the JVP supporters is yet to be resolved.
The Chief Editor of the Lanka news paper Chandana Sirimalwatta had published a letter airing views and furnishing details in regard to the split within the JVP. This information may have been leaked out forcing the Police to take the all the week end papers.
A prolonged meeting had been held yesterday between the revolutionary Kumar factions with 8 members and the Somawansa faction with several activists having participated. This discussion which had begun at 4 p.m. last evening and had gone until 4 a.m. this morning without the split been resolved.
