Conflicts within the UNP and the controversial audio tape

During yesterday’s UNP Parliamentarians meeting an argument between UNP’s leader Ranil Wickremasinghe and the Sajith Premadasa fraction, it has become a serious question as to how this Audio tape was released to the media. This incident had occurred during the UNP meeting last morning.
With the arrival of the leader Ranil Wickremasinghe it was proposed that Karu Jayasuriya is to become the new leader and it was seconded by the Sajith Premadasa fraction. Immediately Ranil Wickremasinghe confessed that this meeting was not convened for this purpose and it was matter for the Central Committee of the UNP and Ranil by saying it tried to walk away. When this controversial incident  was taken up Ranil was not allowed to leave without resolving the matter by making a huge ‘uproar’. During this time Sujeewa Serasinghe M.P had taken a call to ‘Sirasa’ through his mobile phone and wanted the heated argument recorded ‘live’, the allegations made of the leader.
Sujeewa Serasinghe M.P had been accused of divulging matters within the party to the media and is to face disciplinary action. It is reported that now it been decided to finalise this vital issue within the next 48 hours.
