REFORMED BUS BOARD REGULATIONS

Identification of outstation Bus fares through different coloured destination boards:

To enable the commuters of buses to identify the different kinds of buses plying to outstation destinations and more particularly the rates of bus fares, a new system was introduced from yesterday.
Accordingly yellow coloured destination boards are those which charge normal bus fares. The blue coloured destination boards could be identified by commuters as semi luxury bus services in which the bus fares are 1 ½ times more than the normal fare. The buses with green colour destination boards, gives the message that the fares are double the normal charge. The colour with violet colour destination boards, are those of luxury type buses and the bus fares are treble that of the normal fare.
Although these colours were previously displayed, commuters were inconvenienced as they were not properly educated. From yesterday National Transport Commission Society had decided to issue these destination boards with different colours to all bus owners and the new system is expected to function efficiently.
